Now that my busy wedding season is over, I’m very excited to share that a wedding I photographed this past April (Pinyu and John at the Langham Huntington Hotel) is now featured in the Spring/Summer 2011 edition of the Knot magazine, which hits newstands today!
One thing I really love about the Langham Huntington Hotel is that it is a truly grand place for couples to get married. So, fitting of such a venue, Pinyu and John had a very classic and romantic wedding. In keeping with that theme, Pinyu chose a timeless strapless gown from The White Dress and the color red (in Chinese weddings, the color red is traditional and symbolizes love, joy, good luck, and prosperity) for her bridesmaid’s dresses, shoes, and flowers (flowers by The Elegant Thorn).
Some of my favorite wedding vendors were present, as well: Amanda Ma from Fresh Events, Walter Pawluk was the videographer, and De Bois Entertainment kept the party going at the reception. All in all, a fantastic wedding!
I recently got a chance to work on a wedding with my friend, Tiffany, when we photographed Emily and Jose’s wedding. The couple was fabulous to work with and the list of locations for their wedding day seemed to be a listing of some of Pasadena’s biggest landmarks, starting with the bride’s preparation at the Langham Huntington Hotel, following with the formal group and couple’s photos at the historic The Gamble House, then a wedding at the regal Westminster Presbyterian Church and finally we finished the day with their reception at the Imperial Palace.
