Because Stephanie and Andrew live in Hawaii, I didn’t get to meet them until the day of their wedding at the Los Angeles LDS Mormon Temple, but their relaxed Hawaiian style and loads of personal touches gave the day such a fun, comfortable feel. Stephanie purchased her gown at Camarillo Bridal, but decided to add her own vintage touches by shortening it and adding sleeves.
Another personal touch was that the bride’s flowers were all done by her mother-in-law, who visited LA’s flower district and put the arrangements together herself. The reception was held in the backyard of the groom’s parent’s home in La Canada-Flintridge and the food (catered by Smokin’Joe’s out of Simi Valley) was outstanding. I love that Stephanie and Andrew were so laid-back on their wedding that they jumped on the backyard trampoline!
Another fun touch of the day was when Stephanie surprised Andrew with a traditional Hawaiian hula dance – so sweet!
