Anitra and Joel – St. Charles Borromeo and Ca Del Sol, Hollywood

I loved finding out how Anitra and Joel met because their story is so quintessentially LA.  Anitra and Joel are both actors and they met on the backlot of Universal Studios while filming the soap opera Passions. Apparently, passions ignited when these two met because they are an electric couple!  

Anitra and her bridesmaids got ready at the Sheraton Universal Hollywood and they then moved to St. Charles Borromeo for the ceremony. Their reception was held at the nearby restaurant, Ca del Sole, which has the absolute best food that I’ve ever had at a wedding. Eating al fresco, the reception was intimate and fun and the evening was capped off by a fantastic cake by Jamaica’s Cakes.

Kristen and Jonathan – University of Southern California, Los Angeles

Kristen and Jonathan met while attending the University of Southern California-  even though they graduated a little while ago, their shared love of their alma mater was an inspiration to get married on the USC campus. Kristen and Jonathan have a powerful bond together, cemented by the strength of their faith. Their reception was in the Town and Gown Ballroom at USC, which is has such a stunning ballroom with 10 massive Schonbek chandeliers with all imported Austrian crystals- a truly stunning ballroom!  Jackie Lowe, of the Park Plaza in Los Angeles was the wedding coordinator and did a fantastic job keeping everything running smoothly. Kristen looked gorgeous in her dress from The Dresser. 

Kristen and Jonathan have a strong sweet tooth, so they not only had a wedding cake (Beverly’s Best) , but a full desert bar with ice cream sundae’s and root beer floats- it my kind of wedding!

Jennifer and Andrew – Casa Del Mar, Santa Monica

Jennifer and Andrew are a fantastically sweet couple!  They got married at Casa Del Mar, in Santa Monica on a very warm spring day. Towards sunset (when the weather outside seemed to finally cool off a bit), we went out onto the beach for portraits just before a dazzling sunset with the beach and the Santa Monica Pier as the stunning backdrop.  Jennifer was such a classic beauty in a gown from Mary Linn’s Bridal in Pasadena.  

During the reception, Andrew (who is such an amazing guitarist that he has been featured on one of his albums along with musicians like Led Zepplin and Bonnie Raitt) joined the wedding band Fifth Avenue Music and serenaded his new wife with a beautiful rendition of Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight”- it was so touching! Jennifer and Andrew came to me as a referral from Brian and Rebecca who got married up at the Firestone Vineyard in Santa Barbara in 2005, so thank you to Brian and Rebecca!!
