It’s always so much fun to work with new parents, so I was thrilled when Shelia and Marco called me to do baby portraits of their beautiful daughter Kayla. I always feel so honored to share in their excitement, and to be able to permanently capture through photography is priceless!
I photographed Elena and Scott when they got married in 2005, so I was excited when they called me up this spring to do a maternity session in their lovely home. Elena was positively glowing and it was great to work with them again (only under slightly different, but equally exciting circumstances).
This spring was a very busy time with engagement sessions. Here are some of my favorites from those sessions:

I often get called for family portrait sessions when families are gathering from around the country and around the world, so it was a pleasure to work with both the Pfung and Giesinger families for their family portrait sessions, who came from as far away as Montreal and Hong Kong to be together.
Jody and Kourosh are all about design. As designers of their own clothing line KJ Clothing, Jody’s dress was very important, so Jody designed her amazing couture dress and it was absolutely stunning! Jody and Kourosh are passionate and creative about life and art, and you could tell that in all the details that they chose for their wedding. Their ceremony and reception were both held at The Buffalo Club in Santa Monica, a retro luxe restaurant that’s swanky and sophisticated. It was a fantastic wedding, with unique flowers by Blossom Floral Design.
Jody and Kourosh were referred to me by Elena and Scott (Jody’s brother), whose wedding I did at the Beverly Hills Hilton in 2005. Thank you for the referral, Elena and Scott!
My sister (Tina) and her husband (Greg) had previously adopted 2 boys from Korea, so it was finally time for a girl! I was thrilled to find out that their baby girl would be flying in to LAX and that I would be able to photograph the exciting day for them. Because they had such short notice and my brother-in-law had to stay home with their 2 boys, Tina flew across the country alone to pick up Lucy, and my other sister and mom flew down from Seattle to meet Lucy for the first time, too. It was so hard to photograph through my own tears! The moment she arrived was such an emotional moment, and it was tough to have to say goodbye to them just a few hours later, as they flew across the country to meet the rest of her new family.
I worked with Leila and Thom for their maternity session a little while back, so I was thrilled to work with them again for Hanna’s first portrait session! She is a doll!
